Andy Partridge – My Failed Songwriting Career (Volume 1)

You can understand the problems of this work when you consider the decision makers between the written song and a possible finished recording. But songs are, after all, like children. A songwriter gives them life, feeds them, watches them grow, and sends them out into the world. It's unfair to abandon them, like orphans, just because their first experience with the world was a traumatic one with a cold shoulder.

As is customary for loving parents, Andy got them all back together, re-edited them and polished them up in his studio. And voila, here is the first selection of songs that resulted from this work. Four brothers and sisters, happily united and presented like a family picture for your entertainment and enjoyment.
