The eleven-track album ranges from deep house to jazz, from ambient to a percussive load of Afrobeat and is his most comprehensive and diverse project to date.
It's all held together by his unique sense of purpose and trademark vibrancy; with his deft finesse, it's an album that acts as a musical autobiography of sorts. The Edinburgh-born musician gained attention with a string of releases in 2020 before signing to Ninja Tune label Technicolor for his sensational 2022 EP 'More Content'.
Billboard named him one of their "10 Dance Artists To Watch", while the single "Blackpool Boulevard" landed on BBC Radio 1's playlist - radio legend Pete Tong was thrilled, while tastemakers like The Blessed Madonna and Annie Mac became big fans. "You can only make your debut album once," emphasizes Barry Can't Swim. "That's why I want to showcase all the elements of the things I've enjoyed about music so far."
