    • Last year, Death Cab For Cutie celebrated their 20th anniversary. But instead of a career retrospective or something similar, the indie rockers are releasing their brand new, now sixth studio album in 2018.

      "Thank You For Today" is the name of the follow-up to "Kintsugi" from 2015.

      Ten new songs have Ben Gibbard (vocals, guitar), Nick Harner (bass) and Jason McGerr (drums) written and recorded for it. In the studio they were also supported for the first time by new members Dave Depper (Menomena, Fruit Bats, Corin Tucker, Ray Lamontagne) and Zac Rae (My Brightest Diamond, Fiona Apple, Lana Del Rey, Gnarls Barkley), who have already been part of the DCFC touring band since 2015. Rich Costey took over the production of the new album.

      With the single "Gold Rush" there was already a first taste of "Thank You For Today". The song is based on a sample of the Yoko Ono classic "Mind Train" from 1972.
