Desmond Dekker – This Is Desmond Dekkar

Without "Israelites" and "007 (Shanty Town)" by Desmond Dekker, reggae would be poorer by two immortal classics. This LP reissue comes in 180g heavyweight vinyl. "This Is Desmond Dekkar" was originally released in 1969 on the Trojan label and produced by Leslie Kong. Kong was a Jamaican Chinese and produced Derrrick Morgan, The Maytals, Jimmy Cliff and many others. Dekker's career began in the 60s, during the second half of which he already had international hits - for example, "007 (Shanty Town)" found itself in the British charts in the Top 15 in 1967.
