Ringo Starr – Ringo (1973) is a surprisingly strong and star-studded album that showcases Ringo at his most charismatic and musically versatile. With contributions from all three former Beatles—plus guests like Marc Bolan, Billy Preston, and The Band—it blends rock, pop, and country with a warm, feel-good energy. Photograph (co-written with George Harrison) is a standout, as is Oh My My, a funky, upbeat number. I’m the Greatest, written by John Lennon, adds a playful self-awareness. While not groundbreaking, Ringo is a fun, well-produced record that captures Starr’s charm and proves he could hold his own as a solo artist.
