Tamino, who often operates in the shadows, surprises time and again with new music that overwhelms and enchants you in the most pleasant way. Songs without fuss, without embellishment. A voice and a guitar, supplemented here and there with a relevant other instrument. There is never anything exaggerated about Tamino's music. It is always urgent. That is why it is now really time for him to step out of that sideline and come full-time into the stage spotlight. Preferably in a living room full of colorful flowers and candles. The musician with a Belgian mother and an Egyptian father will release his best album in 2025. Regardless of what will come out of his pen and hands in the coming years, which I am already looking forward to, his best album is Every Dawn's a Mountain on the (digital) shelves, beckoning to be discovered. And with that, it is advisable to keep all his previous music close by, because all that older work (since 2018) also reaches an absolute top level. Because of the pure musicality, the originality, that accomplished, tear-jerking voice and the disruptive structure of the songs that makes you continuously curious about the next chord. There are no highlights on this album, but don't be sad, it is one big highlight. Therefore the following musical advice: play Every Dawn's a Mountain by Tamino, and then... ears on stalks, lights dimmed, a lazy chair and a good glass. It is an almost spiritual experience that you enjoy again and again. Time for Tamino. Always.
