Rock'n'roll fans have been eagerly awaiting this: The Hives are finally back with a new album after more than ten years. "The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons" presents the Swedes as unerring and energetic as ever.

The quintet from Fagersta have been surprisingly quiet in recent years. The last album "Lex Hives" was released in 2012 and since then the band around singer Pelle Almqvist has only released a single once in a blue moon or played festivals such as Rock am Ring or Lollapalooza. Definitely not enough activity to quench the thirst of their countless fans for high-energy rock'n'roll.

But now the time has come. With "The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons", The Hives' sixth album is in the starting blocks and the first single "Bogus Operandi" proves that the gentlemen have lost none of their explosiveness and class. Over the course of the twelve songs, the disappearance of the mysterious sixth band member Randy Fitzsimmons is explored. Has the group's discoverer, manager and sole songwriter really passed away? Or can he be lured out of the darkness once again by the new sign of life from his protégés?
