Violent Femmes – Violent Femmes

Violent Femmes is the legendary, self-titled debut album of the folk-punk heroes from Milwaukee. It was released in 1983 and contains classics such as "Blister in the sun" or "Gone Daddy Gone". On the album, the band combines elements of Jonathan Richman and The Modern Lovers with new new wave, acoustic folk and punk rock elements. Singer Gordon Gano wrote the songs while he was still at school - by now the album has reached cult status.
